Ashish Life Sciences (ALS) in collaboration with the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) has honored five exceptional students for their remarkable academic excellence across various disciplines.
The recipients of these prestigious awards included Mangula, Raphael Simon, recognized as the Best Overall Diploma in Tropical Animal Health (DAH) student; Yasini, Zaituni Bakari, awarded Best Student in Pharmacology; Mpogo I. Ally, distinguished as the Best Student in Economics and Agribusiness; Ridhiwani, Karimu Khalfani, honored as the Best Student in Clinical Work; and Junior, David Joshua, acknowledged as the Best Overall Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) student.
During the award ceremony, Dr. Sanjeev Sarkar, Managing Director of ALS Tanzania, urged the graduating students to seize the myriad of opportunities available in both the public and private sectors, where they can further develop and utilize their knowledge and skills in veterinary practice. He also used the platform to announce the availability of two vacant posts at ALS, inviting the graduates to apply.
Since 2021, ALS and CVMBS have fostered a collaborative affiliation that has provided students with essential learning materials for practical training, enhancing their hands-on skills, as well as offering internship and employment opportunities at ALS.
In his closing remarks, the Principal of CVMBS Prof. Esron D. Karimuribo expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr. Sarkar on behalf of ALS for their unwavering support and extended an invitation for further collaborations between ALS and the college, as well as Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) at large.
