The Animal Teaching Hospital provides veterinary diagnostics and medical testing for infectious agents, toxins, and other causes of animal diseases. We work on samples submitted by veterinary practitioners serving animal owners, public officials associated with public health, law or wildlife management, and scientists with collaborative research projects. It also collects diagnostic samples from animals brought to the hospital by animal owners.
The veterinary diagnostic services are provided by discipline specialists, including: pathologists, clinical pathologists, histologists, microbiologists, virologists, immunologists, parasitologists, and serologists.
Many also have one or more particular species and/or organ specialties to offer a well-rounded approach to diagnostic medicine with considerable depth. The services offered are of highest standard and every employee contributes to this status by following established guidelines and performing their duties to the highest quality daily.
We provide veterinary diagnostic services with the best possible support in the diagnosis and control of animal disease through our specialist laboratories located in different departments of the college of Veterinary Medicine and biomedical sciences.
These laboratories serve for Bacteriology, Virology, Immunology, Mycology, Helminthology, Entomology, Protozoology, Clinical Pathology, Histopathology and Molecular Biology.
