The programme is designed to produce Veterinary Paraprofessionals, competent in basic theoretical and practical knowledge in farm animal health and disease control. These paraprofessionals are able to provide primary animal health care in emerging commercial and semi-commercial livestock farming in rural and urban communities. They are excellent in general epidemiological surveys and minor surgical procedures as prescribed by the Tanzania Veterinary Council.
