MABULA MARKO MAGANGA
Mabula Maganga Marko, a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine student, is the CEO and co-founder of an AgriTech startup company called AFYA YA MNYAMA DIGITAL Limited. This is an Award-Winning startup at Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards and Global Startup Awards.
Other startup team members are Albina Pius Bayo, Benny John Mwamhanga, Julieth Joachim Tarimo and Alex Patrick Adam.
The startup which is hosted at SUA Innovation Hub, has a digital solution called MNYAMA CHECK platform which uses sensor technology to help livestock farmers manage their animals herds in terms of early animal disease detection, monitoring reproduction, feeding practices as well as location tracking.
The startup has raised approximately 51,500 USD from Carnegie Mellon University Africa and Ifakara Innovation Hub. It was also presented in an international students’ summit at Tokyo University of Agriculture in Japan and awarded the first runner-up.
