Congratulations Ms. Martha Adrian Ndaikeje on the Successful Defense of Your MSc. Public Health and Food Safety!

The Department of Veterinary Medicine and Public Health is elated to announce that Ms. Martha Adrian Ndaikeje has successfully defended her MSc. dissertation titled “Plasmodium Infection in Free-Ranging Yellow Baboons and Vervet Monkeys and Their Associated Mosquito Vectors from National Parks in Southeastern Tanzania.”

Her research sheds light on the occurrence of Plasmodium parasites in non-human primates, particularly yellow baboons and vervet monkeys, in Mikumi, Nyerere, and Saadani National Parks. Through her meticulous work, Ms. Ndaikeje has uncovered important data regarding the prevalence and distribution of Plasmodium species in these primates, advancing our understanding of malaria’s ecological context in wildlife populations.

The Department applauds Ms. Ndaikeje’s commitment and the significance of her findings, which offer a fresh perspective on malaria research in Tanzania.
