Dr Latifa Daudi Mreta graduated from Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2021 with a bachelor in Veterinary Medicine. During her time there, she received several academic awards from the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. These awards included recognition as the best student in Pharmacology in 2018/2019, Animal nutrition in 2017/2018, Microbiology in 2017/2019, and as the overall best student in the third year in 2018/2019.
After graduating, Latifa worked as a Livestock Manager at Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (2021-2022), a non-governmental organisation based in Morogoro. She is now working at Sokoine University of Agriculture as a Tutorial Assistant in Veterinary Medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, specifically in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Public Health.
