Dr. Veronica Emanuel Masawe graduated Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine at Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2021. From October 2021 to February 2022, she volunteered in various projects such as; The Health for Animals and Livelihood Improvement (HALI), Pandemic Preparedness for Global Health Security (PREDICT) & Brucella Study in Tanzania and Rwanda (BRUSTAR), conducting Molecular diagnosis, bacteriology and Serological tests in various diseases. She started her internship in February 2022 at SUA Referral Animal Hospital per mandatory of the Veterinary Council of Tanzania (VCT) doing not only diagnosis and treatment of diseases in dogs, cats, cattle, goat, sheep, pig, rabbits and rats, but also, provision of consultation services to livestock keepers around Morogoro Municipality. She was employed to the Sokoine University of Agriculture in September 2022 to work as a Tutorial Assistant in the department of Veterinary Medicine and Public Health, conducting tutorials, seminars and practicals for undergraduate and diploma students in various courses. She also collaborates in different projects and in November 2023, she worn AFROHUN TRANSITION AWARD MULTIDISCIPLINARY ACTION RESEARCH [TAMAR] PROGRAM COUNTRY SMALL GRANTS RESEARCH COMPETITION as a Co-Investigator with a project titled: Barriers to vaccination of dogs against Rabies in KILOSA district which is on going project till June 2024. While in the University, she also attends various trainings where she was awarded certificates.
