George graduated from Sokoine University of Agriculture with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. He joined the same university to pursue a Master’s degree in One Health Molecular Biology in 2018. While he was in the course of his studies, in 2019, he was employed as a tutorial assistant in Veterinary Microbiology at the same university. He graduated with a Master’s degree in December 2021, which led to his promotion to assistant lecturer later in March 2022. His research interest is on understanding food-borne pathogens’ antimicrobial properties especially studying mechanisms on how bacteria evolve and develop resistance to antimicrobials by employing microbiological and molecular tools and/or techniques. He is currently pursuing a doctoral course in veterinary science majoring in veterinary microbiology (antimicrobial resistance of foodborne pathogens) at the Joint Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine, Kagoshima University, Japan.
