Dr. Julius D. Luvanga graduated from Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2017 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM). From 2017 to 2018, he worked as a volunteer with PREDICT, a project of USAID’s Emerging Pandemic Threats (EPT) programme, which was initiated in 2009 to strengthen global capacity for the detection and discovery of zoonotic viruses with pandemic potential in Tanzania. Dr. Luvanga joined the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Theriogenology as a tutorial assistant in the discipline of theriogenology in May 2019. In 2023, he graduated with a master’s degree in Animal reproduction and biotechnology at the same university, and he is currently working as an assistant lecturer, where he teaches, does research, and provides consultancy work in the field related to animal reproduction and biotechnology. He is also working as a resident clinician at the Teaching Animal Hospital.
